Navigating the Michigan Unemployment Insurance Agency After Layoff Challenges

I've been feeling overwhelmed navigating the Michigan Unemployment Insurance Agency (UIA) system after being laid off around June 1. I've been certifying my unemployment every two weeks and completing my work searches as required, but I misunderstood a key requirement regarding Michigan Works! registration. I thought creating an account online was sufficient, but I later learned that I needed to register in person at the Michigan Works office as well. After I received a Fact Finding questionnaire from UIA asking for proof of my registration, I rushed to complete the in-person requirement, but I was already two weeks past the deadline. On June 18, UIA issued a determination (labeled Issued 1), and I filed a protest explaining my misunderstanding. Now, on June 29, my protest status changed to Issued 2, but I haven't received any determination letter or explanation for this change. I've tried calling UIA multiple times, but I keep getting the busy signal due to high call volume. Additionally, I have an alert about needing to reopen my claim, but I'm hesitant to do that as I fear it might complicate my protest or appeal. As of today, I still haven't received any unemployment benefits, and I'm worried that my mistake could jeopardize my eligibility. If anyone has gone through something similar or has advice, I would really appreciate it.
