I spent three years working remotely, and honestly, it wasn't a great fit for me. While many people dream of remote work, I found it isolating and struggled with the blurred lines between my work and home life. Sitting at my desk all day began to wear on me, and I felt disconnected from real human interactions, even though I was constantly online. Eventually, I decided to leave that job for lower-paying in-person work, and surprisingly, I found a lot of joy in my new role. However, I still have concerns about my financial future, especially with a baby on the way. Recently, I stumbled upon a potential remote opportunity through connections I made at my previous job. I applied, but I'm uncertain about the outcome. This time, I'm trying to think of ways to make remote work more enjoyable if I get the position. I'm curious to hear from others who work from home: what strategies or tips do you have to make the experience more enjoyable? Whether it’s small adjustments or larger lifestyle changes, I’d love to learn from your experiences.
