I recently applied for a position at a grocery store chain that is currently under construction and is set to open in the next couple of weeks. I came across a job listing for that location and jumped at the chance to apply because I really want this job. However, I'm feeling anxious about the possibility of missing out on the opportunity. I found a phone number for the hiring team on a sign outside the construction site, and I'm considering leaving a voicemail to express my interest in the position. It's been about a week since I submitted my application, and I'm unsure if following up would be perceived as too eager or if it would actually help my chances. I'm not quite sure what I would say in the voicemail either.
