I graduated in May with a degree in journalism/communication and have been actively applying for jobs since January. Despite having internships and relevant club experience, I keep facing rejection after rejection, which is really starting to wear me down. I've tailored my resumes and expanded my search to include any role that seems remotely related to my skills, but the only offers I get are from door-to-door sales positions that feel like pyramid schemes. I know the job market is tough right now, especially for recent grads, but I'm feeling lost on how to make myself more appealing to employers. I have a variety of transferable skills from my internships, yet I still feel like I'm missing something crucial. It's disheartening to think I might be stuck in my part-time retail job for years to come. I've heard advice about being patient, but with each application, it becomes harder to stay optimistic. I'm considering whether I should explore a different field or get some additional training to enhance my marketability. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
