Navigating my second month at Big Bank amid team disorganization and training uncertainty

I recently started my second month at a Big Bank on a three-month probationary contract. This is my first role in this field, and I was hired by my manager's manager, who was aware of my lack of direct experience. Currently, I am training with a different team than the one I will eventually be working with, and I'm not receiving any feedback on my performance. The entire team is new, with over 20 new hires, which has led to some disorganization. Initially, I reported to a manager who rarely communicated with me unless I initiated the conversation. However, I've since been moved under a new manager with whom I have a better rapport. Despite the lack of feedback, they are providing me with additional training, which I hope is a good sign. Still, I am uncertain whether this situation indicates that my contract may not be renewed after the probation period or if this is typical for a newly formed team still figuring things out. During a team meeting, my manager's manager mentioned that we have more employees than the threshold now, which has left me wondering if this implies they hired too many people or if it's a positive indication of our team's growth.
