Applied for a new job and shared my W2 with salary details by mistake

I recently applied for a new job and the potential employer requested my W2 to verify my employment history. In my eagerness to provide the necessary information, I sent them my W2 along with a recent paystub without redacting my salary details. Now I'm feeling anxious about it, wondering how much trouble I might be in for revealing my salary. I've never had to do this before and I can't help but feel foolish for not thinking it through. I’ve received some reassurance from others who say that most employers mainly use the W2 to confirm employment and that salary details are often secondary. They mentioned that the worst-case scenario could be a lowball offer, but I should be able to negotiate if needed. I just hope this doesn’t negatively impact my chances.
