They mentioned that they might still be open to hiring me if I change my mind, but it’s been a few weeks since then. I also made it to the final round with a larger company, and my information was sent to the hiring manager. However, I haven’t heard back in a couple of weeks and the recruitment department has been vague, saying things like "hiring will continue" and "we hire when operationally needed." This is frustrating because the job posting lists the location as actively hiring, and I feel like my qualifications are a good match. Now I’m torn between taking the lower-paying job and potentially burning bridges if I leave soon after, or waiting it out for a better opportunity. I can extend my current job until late September if needed, using my old apartment as a temporary place to stay. I’m really weighing my options and would appreciate any advice.
