Navigating a tough decision: Leaving a retail pharmacy for my dream job

I recently found myself in a tough situation after taking a part-time position at a retail pharmacy just three months ago. After struggling with unemployment for a while, I was eager to secure any job, and during the interview, I assured the manager that I would stay for at least a year. However, now I have received an amazing job offer from a company I have always dreamed of working for. I feel guilty about the prospect of leaving so soon, especially since my manager invested time in training me to cover for a colleague going on maternity leave. I never expected my job search to turn around this quickly, and now I’m uncertain about how to handle this situation. Should I give notice, and if so, how much? I’m also worried about needing to list my current manager as a reference for the new job and how leaving after just three months might affect that. I know I made a commitment, but I also realize that pursuing a better opportunity is important for my career. I’m torn between my sense of loyalty and the chance to follow my dreams.
