Feeling undervalued and blindsided by early contract termination at work

I recently faced a frustrating situation at my job where I was working as a contractor for a company. I was hired for a 4-month contract and had completed 3 months with very little feedback from my manager. Out of the blue, I received an email asking to meet with someone who would be replacing me, which was the first indication I had that my contract was ending early. When I reached out to my manager for clarification, he informed me that my contract would be terminated the following week, and I would need to train my replacement. I felt blindsided by this news and suggested that I could send over documents instead of meeting, as I was caught off guard. Instead of understanding, my manager responded in a condescending manner, implying that my worth was diminished because I was a contractor. I expressed my feelings about the lack of professionalism in how I was notified and said I would still complete my tasks. Unfortunately, he continued to call me unprofessional and made unfounded claims about my work that he had never mentioned before. After our meeting, the agency I was contracted through called to inform me that the company decided to end my contract that week instead of the originally planned date. They cited an upcoming holiday as the reason, which felt like a last-minute decision to me. I felt disrespected and undervalued, especially after the way my manager handled the situation. I truly despise the way he treated me and the lack of communication throughout my time there. It’s been a rough mental place for me, and I just needed to vent about this experience.
