I got laid off last month and have been actively job hunting since then. It's been a tough process as I'm struggling to find relevant opportunities in my field. I've applied to around 50 positions through platforms like LinkedIn, Indeed, and Dice, but I haven't received any interviews from those applications. So far, I've landed four interviews, and interestingly, all of them came through referrals from people I know or recruiters reaching out to me. I've declined one job offer, have another offer open, and I wasn't selected for one of the positions I interviewed for. I'm reaching out to see what strategies or platforms others have found effective in breaking through in this challenging job market.
