I've been reflecting on my recent unemployment and how it has affected my relationships. Being laid off here in the UAE has opened my eyes to how some people I considered friends have treated me differently. It's disheartening to see that their perception of me has changed just because I'm currently without a job. I want to remind them that I'm still the same person, just navigating a tough phase in life. It seems like some folks equate unemployment with being less valuable or capable, which is frustrating. I guess this experience has shown me who my true friends are.
