I had my first round interview today for a position I was really excited about. It was supposed to last 30 minutes, so I put in a lot of effort to prepare—practicing my answers and dressing professionally. However, the interviewer seemed quite disengaged and only asked me about three basic questions. To my surprise, they cut the interview short at just 10 minutes, saying they had everything they needed. I left feeling rushed and somewhat dismissed. Now I'm left wondering if this is a bad sign or if I'm just overthinking it. I really wanted this job, and this experience has left me feeling confused.
