I recently went through a frustrating experience with a company I was really excited about. I found a remote role that aligned perfectly with my interests and skills, so I applied through their job portal. Unfortunately, I was too late the first time, but when I saw the position open up again, I reached out to the founder directly. He appreciated my experience and asked me to complete a trial task, which I did, and he liked it. We then had a detailed interview where we discussed the role and even talked about a few paid days before officially starting. After our conversation, I was eager to know when I could start, but I was met with silence. I sent him a follow-up message on LinkedIn two days later, but he didn’t respond. The following Monday came and still no reply, even though he was active on LinkedIn. I decided to send him an email for clarity, but that also went unanswered. It's been three weeks now, and I still haven't heard anything, despite him being active online. I understand that things can change, but I wish he would at least communicate where things stand. This experience has left me feeling uncertain and frustrated, as I don’t want to get my hopes up without any clear communication.
