Seeking fair severance after toxic layoff experience and unfair treatment

I was laid off last week from my position due to a toxic director who systematically brought in his old team from a previous job, bypassing any formal hiring processes. I had sensed the layoff was coming as he had been hiring eight new employees over the past 6-7 months, while simultaneously pushing out long-tenured staff, including some who were neurodivergent and struggled with his aggressive questioning style during team calls. These sessions were humiliating and seemed designed to assert his dominance. Five of us were let go in the middle of a critical project, and the severance package offered was appalling—just two weeks of pay, even for those who had dedicated years to the company. To add insult to injury, we were docked a day’s pay because the layoff happened on a Thursday, despite having completed our full hours that week. We couldn't even submit our time due to account deactivation. Now, I’m pushing for a more reasonable severance, especially since the agreement requires me to assist with project audits without compensation for my time. It feels outrageous to be treated this way after everything. I’m curious, if you were in my shoes, what would you demand for severance?
