Today, I resigned from my position, and it was one of the most emotional experiences I've ever had. I've genuinely loved working here, but the toxic environment created by upper management made it impossible for me to stay. My role had shifted dramatically, and I found myself handling tasks outside of my job description, which led to a lack of progression in my career. The team had been cut down from 10 employees to just 5, which added to the stress. When I handed in my resignation, my manager, who is the sweetest person, broke down in tears. Seeing her so upset made me tear up as well. She expressed how much she would miss me and said I was the best employee she had. It was incredibly bittersweet. I felt a wave of relief wash over me as I left her office, knowing that the stress I had been carrying was finally gone. I truly wish her and the team the best.
