I just got fired from my retail job due to a huge misunderstanding that I never saw coming. My former coworker, who I considered a best friend, unintentionally spread a rumor that made me look like a stalker. HR caught wind of it and decided to let me go, claiming it could hurt the store's image. Now, at just 20 years old, I'm left unemployed with only about $500 in my bank account and two years of retail experience under my belt. To make matters worse, I'm struggling in my first year of community college and feel like I've got no real talents to fall back on, aside from gaming and doodling, which seems pretty average. I was told by my coworkers that I was good at my job and easy to work with, but that doesn't seem to matter now.
