During the shifts, I received positive feedback and discussed my availability and shift patterns, which made me feel hopeful about the role. However, after being told I would receive an update the following week, I haven't heard anything. I reached out with a professionally written text and left a voicemail asking for any updates, but still no response. I'm left wondering if this is a common experience and what companies gain from this kind of ghosting. I chose not to disclose the company's name, as I don't want to negatively impact their reputation, but this lack of communication has been quite disappointing.
