I recently submitted my work search activity for unemployment benefits and was randomly selected for an audit. I realized that I applied for a job a day later than I thought, which has been challenging since I’ve been taking care of my newborn and my schedule has been chaotic. I have a screenshot of the confirmation email for my application, but it doesn’t have a date on it. I also have a rejection email from the company dated a few days after I applied. I’m unsure if this is enough proof for the audit since that was the only job search I did that week, and technically, I didn’t apply within the correct timeframe. I’m considering whether I should just withdraw my claim for that week and forgo the payment altogether.
