If only I had known the direction the tech industry would take after November 30, 2022, I might have reconsidered my career path. Learning about the advancements made by OpenAI back in 2020, like the release of GPT-2, has made me question my choices even more. I've received some advice suggesting I look into AI certifications and focus on building a portfolio, as the emphasis seems to be shifting towards demonstrating capabilities rather than just academic knowledge. I know I'm still young, and it's never too late to pivot, but the uncertainty is overwhelming.
