I'm a federal contractor and recently had a concerning experience at work. On Tuesday, my project manager pulled me aside after lunch to inform me that the department director accused me of sleeping at my desk last week. I was completely taken aback because I am certain I did not fall asleep at my desk, and the director didn't specify which day this supposedly happened. My project manager reassured me that she believed me but advised me to be more careful in the future. I just started this job a month ago, and this is the only complaint I've received. Given the situation and the feeling of being micromanaged, I've started looking for new job opportunities since I'm not enjoying this role.
