Frustrating interview experience for marketing contract role at NYC cancer hospital

I recently had a frustrating experience while interviewing for a marketing contract role at a major cancer hospital in NYC. After a successful first round with the hiring manager, I was invited for a second round with a team member in the marketing department, which was arranged through an outside recruiting agency. On the day of the second interview, I joined the scheduled Zoom call right on time and waited for over 20 minutes without anyone showing up. During that time, I called my recruiter, who confirmed that the Zoom link was correct. They reached out to the company to find out what happened, but it took two days to get a response. When they finally replied, the company claimed they weren't interested in rescheduling because they said I was the one who didn't show up. I have a timestamped call with my recruiter proving that I was there and on the call at the correct time. The whole situation is baffling, especially since the first round went so well. I'm left wondering if anyone has ever managed to correct a situation like this or if it's just a lost cause once a company decides on a narrative.
