I recently found myself in a tough spot after being laid off about two months ago. I've been actively job hunting and, out of the blue, I received three job offers that I need to weigh carefully. My primary concern is stability because I want to avoid the financial stress that comes with prolonged job searching. The options I have are: 1. A full-time position doing phone repair at $19/hr with stable hours. 2. A temp contract with a broadcasting company for 6 months at $20/hr, but there’s only a slim chance of it being extended or leading to a permanent role. 3. A full-time job in fire safety fieldwork at $22/hr, which offers better benefits and a minimum of 30 hours a week, but the hours can fluctuate. Initially, I felt drawn to the broadcasting position since my background is in audio engineering and entertainment, but I can't shake the worry about job stability and the potential for more financial stress if it doesn't work out. While benefits aren't my top priority, I really want to make the right choice and not end up regretting passing on the broadcasting opportunity. I'm looking for some advice on how to approach this decision. What would you do in my situation?
