I'm currently searching for a new job and feeling a bit lost on where to begin. I hold a master's degree in history, with a focus on research related to crime and social welfare. For the past 5 to 6 years, I've been working as a trained archivist. While I genuinely enjoy my job, I find that I prefer the behind-the-scenes aspects rather than interacting with the public. Unfortunately, my current salary isn't enough to support the lifestyle I want, despite steady pay increases over the years. I love my work and what I do, but there's limited room for advancement, which doesn't bother me much since I'm not interested in leadership roles. However, I'm struggling to figure out my next steps, especially since history is such a broad field. Ideally, I would like to work from home with a salary around $80k, but I'm open to higher salaries even if it means being in an office. My experience mainly revolves around archiving, history, and research, and I'm eager to explore new opportunities.
