I’m currently 19 years old and living in York, UK, and I’ve been on the hunt for my first job for a couple of months now. With college out for the summer, finding a job has become my top priority, but I’m feeling really frustrated. It seems like there are hardly any opportunities available. Most of the listings I come across are for delivery drivers, which I can't apply for since I don’t drive, or they’re military roles. It’s driving me a bit crazy! I’ve noticed that many positions require prior experience, which I obviously don’t have. I’m curious if anyone else in York is facing the same challenges in finding part-time work?
