I recently completed my 5th round interview for a position I've been pursuing for the last 3 weeks. It included 3 distinct interview rounds and 2 trial projects/assessments, with this next round being the final one. After a few days without any updates, I decided to check in via email, and the response I received left me feeling uncertain about my chances. While some comments from others suggest that being in the running after five rounds is a good sign, many also pointed out that such a lengthy process might indicate inefficiency on the company's part. I'm trying to stay optimistic but also know I need to keep my options open and continue applying elsewhere until I get a formal offer.
