I recently followed up on an application I submitted on June 2 and received a vague response stating, "They are setting up interviews this week. Thanks." It's now Thursday, and I haven't heard anything further about getting an interview, and my application status still shows "under consideration." This job market is really taking a toll on me. I put in the effort to write a thoughtful follow-up email, and all I got back was that one-line reply. To make matters worse, I initially thought I was applying to one organization, but it turns out it's part of a larger entity that oversees the one I thought I was targeting.
