I had my annual review with my boss recently, and while they acknowledged some improvements I've made, they also pointed out that I'm not meeting expectations in certain areas. I tried to get a clear indication of whether I'm underperforming, but they avoided saying that directly. Instead, they mentioned that if I don't improve, I might face an official Performance Improvement Plan (PIP). On a positive note, they expressed belief that I can make progress in the next two months before my work anniversary. Now I'm left wondering if I should start looking for other job opportunities or if there's still a chance for me to turn things around.
