I received a job offer last Friday at around 4:30 PM and asked the recruiter if there was any possibility of negotiating the offer for an increase of about 3.5%. They informed me that the compensation team was already out for the day and would check on it first thing Monday. Now that it’s Monday afternoon, I’m wondering if I should reach out to the recruiter for an update. I don’t necessarily need this job, but it would be a significant step forward in my career. I’m considering sending a brief email expressing my continued interest and inquiring if the compensation team has provided any feedback. I’ve seen advice suggesting it’s okay to follow up today, as long as I keep it concise and positive.
