Today, I spoke with someone at the company who mentioned that they decided not to move forward with my application because I was late submitting an AI assessment. This was surprising since I had a final interview after that assessment, which made me think I was still in the running. I haven't received any official rejection in writing, just verbal communication when I called for clarification. The person I spoke to also mentioned that there might be another opportunity for me and promised to send the AI assessment again. I completed it, but now I can't get in touch with him. I'm feeling confused and uncertain about my status. I'm not sure if this situation is legal in Canada, and I could use some advice on what steps to take next.
