I had an interview scheduled for a position I was really excited about, but just before it was set to begin, I received a cancellation letter from the recruiter. They informed me that they had already extended an offer to another candidate. While it's disappointing, I appreciate that they reached out proactively rather than leaving me hanging. It’s frustrating to be dumped before even having the chance to interview, but I guess it's part of the job search process. At least I didn’t invest too much time into it. I’ve heard from others who had similar experiences, and it seems to be a common occurrence in the hiring world.
