Struggling to Find Entry-Level Help Desk Jobs After IT Graduation

I've been struggling to find an entry-level help desk job since graduating with my IT degree. It feels like a mistake because every listing I come across requires 1-2 years of experience, which I obviously don't have. I even tried my school's handshake site, but all I found were random labor jobs instead of anything related to IT. I've checked popular job boards like Indeed, LinkedIn, and ZipRecruiter, but they all seem to have the same listings with tons of applicants. It's disheartening. I've been working in a restaurant for the past 4 and a half years, and I really want to transition into IT, but I'm starting to wonder if I'll be stuck here forever. I'm curious if anyone has found success with different job boards or strategies. I've heard some people recommend reaching out directly to IT managers on LinkedIn, especially at smaller companies. Maybe that's the route I need to take.
