I recently faced a frustrating situation with my unemployment benefits in Colorado. Initially, I was denied benefits, but after appealing the decision, I had a hearing on June 6th and received a letter confirming that I had won the appeal and would be granted benefits. However, just a month later, on July 11th, I received another letter stating that the previous decision was corrected and that I would not be awarded benefits after all. I'm confused and concerned about this change. The first letter mentioned that the decision was final unless appealed within 20 days, so I’m wondering if they are even allowed to do this. It seems like they are claiming it was a clerical error, but I feel like the agency is stepping outside of their procedural limits. I'm looking for advice on what recourse I might have in this situation.
