Preparing for Unemployment Appeal Hearing After Job Discharge and Evidence Submission

I was discharged from my job on September 25, 2026, and I filed for unemployment on September 28, 2026. After honestly filling out all the paperwork, I was approved and received two payments on October 19 and October 24. The online portal indicates that I'm eligible for eight more weeks of benefits. However, I received an appeal notice on October 21 and a tele-hearing notice on October 23, which is scheduled for November 5. The appeal is contesting whether I left work voluntarily without good cause or was discharged for misconduct. To prepare for the hearing, I compiled three PDF exhibits: the separation notice confirming I was fired, screenshots of positive feedback from department leaders, and scans of my daily planner that detail the numerous meetings and issues I faced that impacted my productivity. I submitted these exhibits and received confirmation that they were added to my case. Now, I'm struggling to obtain any documents from my former employer that I submitted as evidence. I'm unsure who to contact for this. I read that I need to send my evidence to them, so they should eventually provide their documents to me, right? I'm open to any advice on how to proceed.
