I got laid off today from my entry-level sales position at a tech company. I was let go along with another new hire because we simply didn't have enough experience to meet the sales targets set for us. It's frustrating because we weren't given adequate training or time to improve our skills. We were only informed about the sales numbers we needed to hit a couple of weeks ago, and while we did our best to reach those goals, it turns out we needed to double or even triple our efforts to keep our jobs. It's hard not to feel angry and distraught about the situation, especially when we were both excited to start our careers in this industry.
