Navigating my first job challenges and seeking better opportunities

I started a new job in May, writing articles for a website, which I got through a friend of a friend. I knew the pay wouldn't be great, but I didn't realize just how low it would be until I started. I had no formal training, just some basic instructions on how to add articles, and I've made several mistakes along the way. While I've owned up to them, I feel many could have been avoided if I had received clearer guidance. My boss largely ignored me for the first month, avoiding my messages and not paying me properly. This being my first job, I don't want to come off as entitled, especially given the current job market, but I'm feeling overwhelmed. The pay is below minimum wage, and the stress of constantly worrying about messing up is taking a toll on me. I've started looking for new opportunities and have discussed my situation with my family, who encouraged me to seek something different. I feel like I know what I want, but I'm struggling with the decision to leave after just a few months. I know I should probably keep this job while I search for something better, as any income is better than none, but I'm unsure if it's worth it.
