Joining a weekday hiking group for career transition support in Pacifica

I recently got laid off and found a great way to connect with others in similar situations. This Monday, November 2nd, I'm joining a weekday hiking group at San Pedro Valley County Park in Pacifica, California. The hike is a 4.5-mile loop with an elevation gain of 892 feet, and it's a perfect opportunity to clear my head while meeting new people who are also navigating career transitions. The group usually splits into smaller ones based on pace, which helps everyone enjoy the hike without feeling crowded. I appreciate that they chose a Monday for this hike since trail traffic is low, making it easier for us to enjoy the experience. While the main focus is on hiking, this community, known as (un)PTO, also engages in various activities like co-working sessions, job search support, and casual meetups like coffee hangs and bike rides. It's nice to know that even people who are currently employed can join, as long as they are mindful of the group's dynamics. I'm looking forward to this hike and hopefully making some valuable connections!
