I worked at a family-owned restaurant for about 4 or 5 days before I decided to quit because the place was honestly disgusting and I was really miserable there. This all happened around July 20th, and to my dismay, I still haven't been paid for my time there. I feel guilty because I ghosted them, which I know is an asshole move, but I don't have any proof of the shifts I worked. Their system was entirely online, and I never got any printed clock-out sheets. I'm really worried that even if I confront them, I might not be able to get the money I'm owed. I'm considering reaching out to them, but I'm unsure if there's any chance of recovering my wages without evidence.
