Navigating Unemployment Benefits After Job Loss Due to Attendance Issues

I was recently let go from my job for being just 8 minutes late, and my official last day is coming up on Monday. I'm planning to file for unemployment soon, but I'm a bit concerned about some write-ups I supposedly received back in February or March. I've never signed any paperwork regarding these write-ups, nor have I seen them; I've only been informed about them verbally. I'm wondering if these write-ups could impact my chances of getting approved for unemployment benefits. I've heard that Texas usually favors workers in these situations, especially if the employer lacks solid documentation. I'm also curious if my history of attendance and performance will come into play during the unemployment hearing. Should I just go ahead and apply for the benefits and see what happens?
