Landed a healthcare job after a surprising interview experience and enjoying my new role

I recently landed a job in the healthcare field after a somewhat unconventional interview experience. I had previously worked at Sam’s Club and was feeling quite nervous going into the interview. I stumbled over my words a bit, but the interview took an unexpected turn when the hiring manager started giving me a tour of the entire facility, including the coffee maker, as if I was already hired. To my surprise, he offered me the job on the spot because the other candidates he was supposed to interview didn't show up or even notify him. It's been less than a week since I started, and I'm really enjoying it so far. My boss has been supportive, and it's a relief to finally have benefits and weekends off. The team is nice, but it can be challenging to connect with the nurses I work with since they are always on the go. If you struggle with anxiety like I do, I encourage you to keep trying with interviews. Sometimes, just showing up is enough to secure a position, especially when other candidates fail to do the same.
