I was recently terminated from my job in Pennsylvania and have some questions regarding my final paycheck and unused PTO. My final paycheck isn't due until September 10, 2026, but I assume I can file for unemployment today since the paychecks are for the month prior. Additionally, I should be receiving a payout for my unused PTO, but I'm unsure of the exact amount. The filing page asks if I'm getting severance, and I'm confused about how to answer that. I know that the payout for accrued unused PTO is not considered severance or dismissal pay, but I want to make sure I'm doing everything correctly.
