Reflecting on My Job Search Journey as a CS Undergrad in Asia

Today, I reflected on my ongoing job search as a CS undergrad based in Asia, currently in my junior year. Despite having a solid foundation in machine learning and several projects under my belt since May 2026, I've struggled to secure a remote internship or junior position. The competition is fierce, with many listings attracting over 100 applicants, and I often find that location restrictions further limit my options. I've attempted to connect with CEOs and CTOs of small startups that align with my work through LinkedIn and email, but unfortunately, those efforts haven't yielded any results either. I recognize that the job market is challenging right now, but I'm committed to improving my skills daily and remain hopeful about finding an opportunity. I'm reaching out for advice on how to enhance my profile and what specific areas I should focus on to increase my chances of landing a remote position. Any tips or personal experiences that could guide me in my early career would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
