Navigating Job Applications in Automotive While Training as Pharmacy Cashier

I recently graduated high school and have been working at a retail pharmacy while attending technical college for automotive technology. My store manager offered me a raise if I got certified as a pharmacy cashier, which I accepted since I need the money. I'm currently in the licensing process, but I've found some promising apprenticeship and entry-level positions in the automotive field that pay better than my current job, even with the raise. I'm in the process of applying for these new opportunities, but I'm torn about whether I should inform my boss about my job search. I have a good relationship with my manager, who knows I've been aiming to enter the automotive service industry for some time. However, it feels like a bad time to bring it up since I'm in the middle of training for the cashier position. I'm seeking advice on whether it's wise to share my intentions with my boss.
