I left my professional job over a year ago due to health issues. Now in my fifties, I find myself in a call center job that is just awful. I really feel for the younger generation starting out in this job market. My only hope is to either retire or pass away soon, as I can't imagine enduring 30 more years in this environment. It's ironic that I've applied for cashier and manager positions at places like Walmart and fast food chains, but none of them have hired me. The only callbacks I've received were from call centers. It's quite a bleak situation.
