I received a meeting invite from my manager for a 'Quick Sync-up' tomorrow morning, and I noticed that his manager and an HR representative are optional attendees. Honestly, I'm feeling a mix of relief and anxiety. Work has been overwhelming for the past few months, and after only getting a 2% raise during the annual review, I've been pretty unhappy. I'm hoping that if this meeting is about layoffs, the severance package is decent and includes a few months of paid insurance since my wife and kids are on my plan.
