After a challenging 2 and a half years of job searching, I finally landed a full-time position! During this time, I managed to secure a 4-month contract job in security and a seasonal cleaning job at Costco, but nothing permanent. My breakthrough came when I followed some old advice and walked into a store to fill out a paper application. I had heard that applying online is the norm, but I realized that if an older person is in charge of hiring, they might appreciate the personal touch of an in-person application. It worked for me, and I’m excited to start this new chapter!
