Laid off from plumbing job in Minneapolis: facing tough job market challenges

I just got laid off from my plumbing job in Minneapolis, MN, and it really sucks. I received the notice today with no prior warning. The company has been struggling, and the calls for work have dried up completely. They mentioned they might rehire me once things pick up again, but honestly, it’s frustrating. The plumbing industry feels so unpredictable; one moment you're busy, and the next, it's dead. I reached out to some friends in the trade, and it seems like they’re facing the same issues—either slow or completely out of work last week. It's a tough time for everyone right now. Just to clarify, I have a Journeyman Plumbing license in Minnesota and do a variety of work, including residential, commercial, remodels, rough-ins, and service. I’m hoping to find something soon, but the current job market is making it difficult.
