I recently applied for a part-time job at a local restaurant to help support myself while I’m in college. It's been 5 days since I submitted my application, and I checked their website, which says my application is still in progress. As a 16-year-old new to the job market, I'm starting to feel a bit anxious about not hearing back. I’m wondering if this waiting period is normal and when I should start to feel like I’ve been ignored. I've heard from others that it can take a while, especially for restaurants that receive a lot of applications. I plan to give it another week before I consider reaching out directly to inquire about my application status. In the meantime, I’m also thinking about applying to other places to keep my options open.
