This message came just 23 hours before the orientation, which caught me off guard because I had already made plans for the long weekend. I'm feeling really torn about how to respond. My fiancé insists we stick to our plans, but I'm worried about potentially losing this job, especially since it's my first retail job in 15 years. I'm questioning if this short notice is a red flag or if I should have been more prepared given the start date. Any advice?
