Navigating Job Loss Anxiety and Benefit Reporting Challenges in Idaho

I recently faced a challenging situation regarding my husband's job loss in Idaho. He lost his job back in February but procrastinated on reporting it, hoping to find another position quickly. Unfortunately, he ended up losing that job too within two weeks, which led to him not reporting his unemployment status at all. We were under the impression that we could wait until he secured a new job to report everything at once. Now, we received a letter stating that I might lose my benefits because they think he is still employed at his last job. We were advised by the office to report regardless of the situation, but we are anxious about potential fines for not reporting earlier. The letter mentioned fines for every day he didn’t report his job status, and that has us worried. I had a son last year and was told I would still receive benefits regardless of income until September 30th, but I’m uncertain if that changes anything. My husband started a new job last month, so we are trying to verify everything by the 10th. It’s frustrating because I only see people discussing what happens when they get a better-paying job, not when they lose one. I'm starting to feel like the information we received from the office might have been misleading.
