I recently received an offer from a new company, and my start date is set for August 17, 2026. I expect to receive the onboarding procedures soon, likely tomorrow. This gives me about 18 business days before I officially transition. I'm currently enjoying my role and have built great relationships with my colleagues at my current office, which makes this decision tough. I'm debating whether to inform my current employer about the new job offer now so they can start looking for a replacement or to wait until the onboarding and background check are completed. If I wait for the background check, I would have less than two weeks to give my notice.
